Our Team of Technicians are Experts at what they do.

Our technicians continuously strengthen their skills by attending classes at the Shymansky Institute located at our headquarters in La Plata, Maryland. Each year our technicians undergo 3,040 hours of internal training in heating oil, propane, and HVAC systems in programs that are accredited by the state of Maryland.
The Shymansky Institute’s training program, which has been honored by the Mid-Atlantic Petroleum Distributors Association, is affiliated with the College of Southern Maryland. This partnership allows us to give back to the local community by allowing students studying at the college to take advantage of learning in our state-of-the-art training facility.

The Shymansky Institute provides technicians with the opportunity to participate in the National Propane Gas Association’s (NPGA) Certified Employee Training Program. The Certified Employee Training Program (CETP) is a formal structure for training, testing, and documentation to ensure that workers in the propane industry have the necessary knowledge and skills to perform their work safely and effectively.

Technicians at the Shymansky Institute can also earn  Journeyman’s License, Gasfitter’s License, or WSSC License in various programs offered. The most experienced technicians, after getting their Journeyman’s License, can work towards their Master’s License. With such in-depth training from the Shymansky Institute behind them, you can be confident that our technicians will be able to fix any problem that may arise and answer any question you may have about your home comfort systems.
