Each home is different. A small home for two needs less fuel to get through a winter than a split-level home for four. We track your usage rate by assigning a “K-factor” to your home, which is similar to a car’s miles per gallon rating.

The colder it is, the more “degree days” you build up. Next, based on daily temperatures, we multiply your degree days by your “K-factor” to estimate when you’ll need your next fuel delivery.
