At SMO, we take great pride in working with home builders to provide industry leading equipment at reduced prices. We recognize that outfitting a new home for propane or fuel oil is not an inexpensive task and we do our best to make this process affordable. We are able to do this by offering a series of builder programs designed to offer the best energy systems for the lowest possible price in exchange for an ongoing supply agreement.

Our trained representatives can assist you and your contractor with identifying the right energy source for heating and cooling your home. Once identified, we can work to make installation as easy as possible using one of our four Builder Programs.

Build With Propane Program

SMO will subsidize up to $1,000.00 of installation costs for a new propane heating system. This will include installation of the tank and regulators, as well as running the gas line from the tank to the home. SMO will then complete installation of the line from the manifold to each appliance. In order to receive these great discounts, the homeowner must agree to a five year supply agreement with SMO. Any costs associated with the burial of a tank and trenching of a line are not included in the subsidized installation costs.

Propane Conversion Program

SMO will subsidize up to $1,000.00 of the costs associated with converting to a new propane heating system. This will include installation of the tank and manifold regulators, as well as running the gas line from the tank to the home. SMO will then complete installation of the line from the manifold to each appliance. The subsidy covers up to 35 feet of exterior piping and up to 75 feet of interior piping. In order to receive these great discounts, the homeowner must agree to a five year supply agreement with SMO. Any costs associated with the burial of a tank and trenching of a line are not included in the subsidized conversion costs.

Water Heater Program

Under our Builder Pricing Program, SMO will provide a new propane-fueled, tankless water heater with a signed supply agreement from the homeowner. In order to receive this discounted water heater, the homeowner must agree to a seven year supply agreement with SMO. Any costs associated with installation and interior gas piping are not included in this offer. If a homeowner wishes to have installation and piping included in the offer, they will incur an additional installation fee. SMO is proud to offer tankless water heaters from leading manufacturers including Navien and Rinnai.

Build with Oil Program

SMO will provide a tank and tank kit at cost to builders in the Build with Oil Program. This will include costs associated with the tank purchase, tank installation, labor, and tank burial (when requested). In order to receive this equipment and installation at cost, the homeowner must agree to a five year supply agreement with SMO. Should the client end their supply agreement before the end of the five year term, they will be assessed a termination fee.
